Chromite sand is sorting into 2 level according to chemical composition; first -level CR2O3 ≥ 45%; secondary level CR2O3 ≥ 35%. Chromite sand is mainly used for large -scale steel cast in the cast production to prevent the surface sticking when casting ; secondly, it could be used as chilling materails when the aggregate being crused and grinding into be the powder . Under some pre-conditions it could be replaced as some cold iron when the foudry core processing .
